Pitch Competition: What Does the Future Hold?

Written by Lucie Robathan on March 26, 2018

As part of our upcoming virtual conference, SURGE Spring, we are holding a pitch competition.

We want to make sure that the sessions we’re holding are deeply reflective of our community’s interests, and what better way to make that happen than to put it to a vote?

Although the line-up for the spring conference is already determined, we are making plans for our November conference, which will be themed around optimism for the future.

With this positive image of our future potential in mind, we are turning to you: do you have an idea for a session along this theme, or are you interested in contributing your thoughts as a speaker?

To enter the competition, we ask that you film yourself presenting 30-second pitch covering your idea for a session you would like to run. We’d love to know the proposed title of the discussion, the themes you hope to consider, and why the topic is an important one.

Once all pitches are uploaded, beginning on April 15th, conference attendees will be able to vote for the session they most want to see take place. The winner will secure a guaranteed spot as a speaker at the conference, and will additionally receive five business books of their choice. Submissions are due by April 15th, and we’re so excited to see what ideas emerge!

Directions to submit video pitch:

  1. Download the app: SeenitCapture.
  2. Create an account and enter project code pitchcomp
  3. Film your 30-second pitch in-app, or upload it from your camera roll.
  4. If you run into any troubles (or if you just want to say hello!), email support@associationsuccess.org.

Good luck!
