Mary Ellen Brennan, SPHR, SHRM-SCP has 13 years’ experience in associations in the areas of human resources, strategy, and career programs for members.  She founded MEBrennan Consulting to work with associations and other organizations to achieve their talent management goals—with a side interest in association career programs.

With an HR generalist background and the ability to align HR with business strategy, Mary Ellen works with organizations on workforce planning, organizational culture, performance management, and work/life programs such as telework, and leads training and team retreats.  She ventures out of the HR realm to work with associations to identify the career stages of their membership.  While at AIHA, she managed the development of its award-winning career stages project which lead to additional opportunities for the association.  She loves talking about the Myers Briggs Type Indicator in which she is certified.

A true generalist and unable to limit her interests, Mary Ellen pursues many hobbies including singing, Pilates, yoga, walking, knitting, reading, cats, and travel.  She recently relocated to Europe to pursue her dream of living abroad.
